Sorry Guys:-)
I need to say that I am as bored writing about this as you must be reading about it. I feel like I need to though because some of my good vox buddies have been concerned that I haven't been around lately... much.
Friday, out of nowhere, I started vomiting more blood. How's that for TMI? lol Anyway, I called the doctor instead of waiting like I usually do. She immediately had me admitted into the hospital and by 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning they went in and found, yet, another bleeding ulcer. It was cauterized on the spot and I was able to leave the hospital on Monday morning. No big deal this time. My blood counts have started to rise and it seems like they were able to stop all of the bleeding this time. The good news is that I caught it in time this time instead of trying to pretend that nothing was wrong.
Today is another iron treatment. Assuming they can find a vein because I'm fairly sure the nurses at the hospital blew up every good vein I had left in my body. All that means is that I may have to get a permanent catheter inserted under my skin where they won't ever have to worry about getting a vein again. They'll just use the little port thing. I guess that would be good, although I'm not cherishing the idea of having some little box like thing sticking out of my skin. Maybe it won't be forever.
Thanks for hanging in her with me and just know that I've been thinking about all of you and wondering what's been going on in your lives:-)

(((HUGS))) stay well.
I hope it goes well, whatever option they install.
You should know you could never bore me. I love hearing from you. I can see you trying to fly fish and I must say my version is pretty funny.
Welcome to my blog Tom!
I've had so many pic lines installed and taken out. I've also had central lines installed in my neck. Those are a little worse. They're now talking about the portacath. I liked the pic lines. You're right, they're very quick and painless! I hope all is well with you now:-)
LOL! I'll have to come down with my fly fishing gear just to give you a laugh! I'm pretty sure that my version of fly fishing is pretty close to what you imagine!
So you've had a portacath? I didn't know there was potential for staph infection and that's pretty scary. I know staph is running rampid in hospitals now though. You don't still have one do you?
Shell ..you are never boring! Most of us here care about you, and we want to know how things are going! I am just glad they caught the ulcer quick enough this time. Good on you for not pretending everything is ok. I can soooo relate to that! I do it all the time. But in the end we are so much better off just facing whatever is wrong and dealing with it. It always turns out better that way. Lesson learned..right! Now..no more pretending missy...you get your butt to the hospital at the first signs of anything...you hear me!!! *stamps feet* don't you make me come over there...lol
((hugs)) luv ya! xx
i can't believe this had been hapenning this weekend!=[
I am glad that things went better and u were able to get treated fast...proud of u for calling up the doc right away that was smart!
Take it easy :o) {{Hugs}}
Awww im sorry to hear this Michelle, Honestly i wondered if you where ok as you usally write a blog about what you did on a weekend with the family. Im sorry you got another ulcer but im glad they managed to stop the bleeding. Must be so frustrating for you and im really sorry your going through. I hate feeling so powerless :(
I feel kind of powerless too. I seriously thought I was getting better because I really didn't have any symptoms. Apparently this one is a big one and they might need to do more surgery and take more of my stomach out if they can't get the bleeding to completely stop 6 weeks from now.
Just knowing that I have so many good friends who care about me helps Marty. Thanks for always being there:-)
Keeping you in my thoughts with love!
