Sorry Guys:-)

You know, it's not boring- every time it's new information, and I for one am glad to know so I can pray more specifically. How wonderful that this time you were in and out! That it's not something to worry about! That it was a tiny new problem, instead of a HUGE old one that had been overlooked!

(((HUGS))) stay well.
Glad you caught it in time. I was just in the hospital for a long time, and they installed a PICC line (Peripherally Installed Central Catheter? (I'm trying to see if I remember what it meant)). It took about ten minutes, didn't hurt much, and the benefits are glorious. It looks like a dressing with a slender two-headed creature sticking out of your inside upper arm. It made getting IV's so much easier, and if they had to draw blood? No problem. Same thing. If that's what they're installing, it's a good thing, and not a big deal.

I hope it goes well, whatever option they install.

We hurt with you. It is such a struggle some days I know. The little port things are handy, but scary. You really have to watch for staff infection with those. so glad you are home and they stopped the bleeding once again.

You should know you could never bore me. I love hearing from you. I can see you trying to fly fish and I must say my version is pretty funny.

Thanks Lindz:-) Your prayers are working. Theonly scarf that I took to the hospital this time was the prayer scarf you sent me too! I love that scarf! This time was quick and painless. You're right.
oh, darling I am SO sorry! I really hope you recover quickly! (((Hugs)))

Welcome to my blog Tom!

I've had so many pic lines installed and taken out. I've also had central lines installed in my neck. Those are a little worse. They're now talking about the portacath. I liked the pic lines. You're right, they're very quick and painless! I hope all is well with you now:-)

[this is good]

LOL! I'll have to come down with my fly fishing gear just to give you a laugh! I'm pretty sure that my version of fly fishing is pretty close to what you imagine!

So you've had a portacath? I didn't know there was potential for staph infection and that's pretty scary. I know staph is running rampid in hospitals now though. You don't still have one do you?

[this is good]
((HUGS)) I'm already recovered! That's the awesome thing! Thank you so much though:-)

Shell ..you are never boring! Most of us here care about you, and we want to know how things are going! I am just glad they caught the ulcer quick enough this time. Good on you for not pretending everything is ok. I can soooo relate to that! I do it all the time. But in the end we are so much better off just facing whatever is wrong and dealing with it. It always turns out better that way. Lesson learned..right! Now..no more pretending missy...you get your butt to the hospital at the first signs of anything...you hear me!!! *stamps feet* don't you make me come over there...lol

((hugs)) luv ya! xx

No I have never had one. My half sister had one and it was awful. She died of lung cancer several years ago. My heart is too weak for any more procedures even simple ones. Such is life. I am living it one day at a time and grateful each and every one.
Dang it!! Those ulcers have got to leave you alone. I am so glad you caught it in time. You know I am praying for you always.

You know the Danielle down the road here, she has one of those ports in her thigh. This is her second one. They usually last her about 5 or 6 years.
I am so glad that you called your doctor right away and they were able to help you so quickly. Don't every worry about boring us, we are always concerned about you and want to hear what is going on.
omg what r u talking about being boring and whatever, that's not true!
i can't believe this had been hapenning this weekend!=[
I am glad that things went better and u were able to get treated fast...proud of u for calling up the doc right away that was smart!

(((((shellaker)))))
I'm glad you went in right away. It sounds like it made a huge difference. :) Hope your day goes well and I'll keep my fingers crossed and send some good thoughts that direction ....
Boring? You? No way!! I look forward to your posts :o) Sorry you had to go back to the hospital and had more problems. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
Take it easy :o) {{Hugs}}

LOL If I thought all it would take is pretending to get you here, the I'd keep pretending! hehe Seriously, you know how it goes. You (I) always feel like I'm bothering the health car industry with my petty problems when there seem to be so many other sick people out there. PLUS if I ignore some of this crap it might just go away, you know? lol I know you know:-) Thanks Marie!

GEEZE SM! I didn't know your heart was too weak for even a proceedure like this one! I'll pray extra hard for you then. You know as well as I do that miracles can happen all of the time and we can miraculously get better. I just came from the blood doctor and they were able to find my one remaining vein so I didn't have to talk about pic lines or central lines etc... Good news.
[this is good]
Thanks for the prayers! I need every single one of them! I'm about sick and doubly tired of these damn things too! lol
[this is good]
Oooo, that's the really sick girl who can use a computer, right? Your friends grand-daughter? I wish they'd go ahead and put one in me so I didn't have to spend an hour every time they need to find a vein. It took 40 minutes this time (today) for them to find my last remaining one! My blood pressure is up to 165/110 which is KRAZY high. My doctor didn't want to let me leave again but I'll be damn if I spend a second week in a row in the hospital! I hate that place. They act like I'm just trying to find reasons to be there sometimes though. I think I hate the doctors and nurses too. I'm in a pretty pissy mood though now:-)
Did you tell them if they would quit poking on you your blood pressure might go down? I would be pissy too. It looks like since you have to go through this every week they would go ahead and put the port in and make it easier on you. I would hate them all too.
Count me in as one of those neighbors that worries if I haven't seen you in the blogosphere for a while, and appreciates the update. Sounds like the early intervention was helpful, and am sending healing prayers/vibes your way. [hugs]
So glad you are okay! Prayer offered, my friend.

Thanks CC! That means a lot:-)

Thanks Mel! It seems that whenever these things happen, it's always on a weekend. I'm not sure why that is though. I just get tired of talking about it and it all sounds so boring because it's the same old song and dance all the time, you know? Anyway, thanks for being so nice:-)
[this is good]
((((((((((lostdwarf)))))))))) lol and thanks:-) I needed that!
[this is good]
It really DID make a difference in the amount of time in the hospital. Usually, I'm there at least a week. This was only a few days this time. Thanks for the good vibes. I'll take all I can get:-)
[this is good]
Awww, Thanks LaCresha! It always feels like I've GOT to be boring everyone with this bs about my health. It bores me! lol I will feel better soon. Unfortunately, I've had more bad news today and I think I'll be in the hospital soon again. Yuk...
[this is good]
LOL. OK. Now the GI doctor called tonight to let me know that the ulcer they just cauterized was 4 times bigger than it was in December. They're going to cauterize it again in April. If that doesn't work, they're going to be talking about taking even more of my stomach out. More surgery. YUK. I hate this. I get to go back to the doctor Friday so they can "discuss this further". I'm pretty tired of this.
[this is good]
Awwwww, thanks SO SO much Janette:-) That was really nice. Early intervention kept me from having to stay in the hospital as long as I usually do. Apparently the ulcer quadrupled in size since December though. Maybe I didn't catch it early enough. There's not much I can do to catch these things though when there are no symptoms other than pain. If I called them every time I had pain, they'd just think I wanted pain meds though. It's a catch 22 I guess.
[this is good]
Prayer greatly appreciated, as always! ((HUGS))
Yes that is good news. Yes my heart was done to an EF of 10. The heart doctors told me to go home and get my papers in order to die. That is when I got drunk and got in trouble. lol......The teddy bear doctor has me on new meds and I am doing so much better. My EF is up to 35. yeah.
seriously, just take care of yourself! we miss you but can deal with that.

Awww im sorry to hear this Michelle, Honestly i wondered if you where ok as you usally write a blog about what you did on a weekend with the family. Im sorry you got another ulcer but im glad they managed to stop the bleeding. Must be so frustrating for you and im really sorry your going through. I hate feeling so powerless :(

[this is good]
I remember it being down to a 10 and then up to a 35. I'm hoping it's even going to go higher. 35 is nothing to sneeze at though especially when you're told to go home and get ready to die! Whew! Talk about no hope! I don't think these doctors realize what they can do to your spirit by telling you these things. Thank GOD for the teddy bear doctor!
[this is good]
Thank you Angie:-)
[this is good]

I feel kind of powerless too. I seriously thought I was getting better because I really didn't have any symptoms. Apparently this one is a big one and they might need to do more surgery and take more of my stomach out if they can't get the bleeding to completely stop 6 weeks from now.

Just knowing that I have so many good friends who care about me helps Marty. Thanks for always being there:-)

It's good you took care of it immediately. Hang in there, kid!
[this is good]
This is one of those days I wish we lived on the same acreage...I'll call you later...hope you're up for chatting and that your shoulder is extra absorbent! I love you girl
[this is good]
Yeah taking care of it right away saved me som unwanted time in the hospital. I have to go back April 2 to do it all again. yuk.
[this is good]
I'll be home all day. We're getting inches and inches of ice. I don't drive on ice so I'm kind of stranded! My shoulders are always extra absorbant for you girl! One of these days we will live on the same acerage, I just know it! lol
[this is good]
I'm sorry to hear that the ulcers are acting up again, but I'm glad that they caught them without delay at least.

Keeping you in my thoughts with love!
~Zola

Thanks Zola! I think they're always going to be an issue, unfortunately.
